Spot Painting & Color Matching

DuPont’s patented Vindicator® System allows our managers to determine exactly in which city and in which plant your car was painted so that we can come up with the exact formula for your car. This guarantees that you will get the best match possible at any of our locations.

Did you know that some paint formulas have alternate paint codes?  That means if you’re paint color is sterling silver metallic there could be as many as five different formulas for that color depending on which plant it was painted in. A body shop that doesn’t use Vindicator® could have trouble matching your original color.

As you can see, spot painting is very sophisticated. In the 1960’s our painters used to match colors by eye and they used to do a pretty good job. Back then, spot painting was an art…today it’s an exact science.

Automotive body repair

When you’ve been in an accident it is common to replace the damaged body part. But some automotive body repairs allow you to repair the panel and not replace it. This could save you money and in some cases it may keep your cost below your deductible so that you don’t have to turn your claim into your insurance company. This could also save you a lot of money in the long run.

Our automotive body repair system allows us to pull out the dent and apply a thin coat of body plastic (not more than ¼”). By doing this our bodymen are able to sculpt your body panel to make it look original. Pulling the dent can mean a tremendous cost savings to you while allowing you to keep your original equipment manufacturer (OEM) part.

In some cases, of course, it is necessary to replace the panel. We give you the option to purchase an OEM part (preferred by most insurance companies), used part or aftermarket part. Used parts are OEM parts that are taken off salvage cars in most cases. Used parts are just as strong as new OEM parts and can sometimes save you big money. Aftermarket parts look like OEM parts but the fit and tinsel strength may be different then OEM.  A lot of our customers who are on tight budgets choose aftermarket parts and are very happy with the end result.
